The endearing little squirrel called Sammy lives in a pine tree behind Grandpa’s house. He has lots of friends he likes to visit with, play with, and share with. Among them, he likes Charlie Chickadee and Billy Blue Jay best; they are his best friends. Sammy and all of the different birds like to share the sunflower seeds that Grandpa puts in the bird feeders.
In addition to his bird friends, Sammy also plays with his cousin, Steven Squirrel. They climb and jump and play hide-and-seek all over the grounds. After they are done with their daily dose of exercise and fun, they make sure to go eat some more of the sunflower seeds that Grandpa has put out for them and the birds.
An entertaining piece that aims to show children the importance of taking care of animals, as well as the importance of friends, Sammy Squirrel appeals to the child in all of us—and awakens a sense of responsibility for all of God’s creatures…
